Always use the shotgun on Tricky. Its the best way to kill him. You'll understand on Madness Mode

To help people stuck on wave 1 (I was for a while)
Buy a switchblade and equip it, when you start throw it away and fist people until you see grunts with melee weapons. Throw your switchblade at the most dangerous one until he dies. Pick up his weapon and kill the rest.
